Did you happen to catch "Good Morning America" yesterday?

If you did, you probably heard snippets of my song, "The Storm Begins", while Diane Sawyer played video footage of the man who was stuck in the elevator for 41 hours. I'm not sure who made the original video, but whoever did it used my music! I'm not sure what to make of this yet. On the one hand, LOTS of people have now heard my song, on the other, NO ONE knows I wrote it!! So if you guys wouldn't mind, please help me by spreading the word that the song on the video (which is currently playing in it's entirety at newyorker.com) was written by me? Here is the full length video in case anyone is interested..

Ehh, don't worry about it. When I saw the video, I immediately wanted to know who had written the music for it. And there - I found out, I'm sure a lot of other people did as well.

Furthermore, you come to this world with nothing, you leave with nothing ;) Can one really claim something or someone one's OWN? It's a philosophical question, but a good one at that. I write short stories, music too, come to think of it. And I have no idea HOW or WHY I keep coming up with different ideas, but the older I get, the more I feel that I'm simply an antenna, so to speak. You know, when improvising or when having a sudden wave of inspiration come over me... I receive and transmit, but that's it :) Of course, I'm not saying that's how you should feel.

Anyway, questions regarding authorship are not always easy ones. If you keep on doing what you love, good things will happen. Just don't worry about it, don't worry about putting our name on something or getting it "out there".

:)
